FINANCIAL IMPACT SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The amount of the grant is slightly lower than budgeted in FY 2017. An adjustment will be made to bring the grant budget in line with the about value.
| BACKGROUND:
Each year, the State of Florida distributes to each county, in accordance to population, a share of the state's EMS Grant Trust Fund. Bay County's allotment for this cycle is $26,839.00 and is earmarked for protective gear (helmets, protective jumpsuits) for EMTs and Paramedics to wear during vehicle and other rescues.
