Board authorize the Chairman to sign a three year lease for the current Emergency Medical Services (EMS) substation at 489 North Tyndall Parkway in Callaway.

FINANCIAL IMPACT SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Funding for this lease comes from the regular revenues collected in the EMS fund.
BACKGROUND:

Bay County currently has an EMS substation located at 489 North Tyndall Parkway in Callaway is currently subleased from Bay County Health System, LLC (Bay Medical Sacred Heart) which expired on November 30, 2016. County Staff recommends keeping the EMS substation in Callaway to allow for responses to Tyndall Air Force Base and the east side cities of Callaway, Parker and Springfield.  EMS calls in these areas are also attended by other units when the Callaway ambulance is busy. Bay County Health System, LLC has offered a three year lease for $917.37 per month in year one, $944.78 per month in year two, and $972.83 per month in year three.

 

Staff recommends the Board authorize the Chairman to sign a three year lease (in the substantial form of Exhibit 1) for the current EMS substation at 489 North Tyndall Parkway in Callaway.
