FINANCIAL IMPACT SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Funds have been budgeted for fiber services in the current county budget, therefore there will be nominal impacts to various departments as this contract is used.

BACKGROUND:

Bay County requires services for installation, testing, and maintenance of the County's fiber optic network.

A contract currently exists between Okaloosa County and World Fiber Technologies, Inc. for necessary installation, testing, and maintenance services. Staff has reviewed this contract and has found the scope of services, prices, terms and conditions as delineated in this competitively bid contract to be reasonable, acceptable, and of benefit to Bay County. Contracts shared with other governmental agencies are considered to be competitively bid and are in accordance with the purchasing policies.

Staff recommends the Board approve the Contract with World Fiber Technologies, Inc. (Exhibit 1) and authorize the Chairman to sign.
