BUDGET ACTION:

FINANCIAL IMPACT SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Based on last year's April collections, if the pier is closed for 3 days the impact will be approximately $5,300.
| BACKGROUND:
R&M Entertainment has approached the County with a proposed lease to allow it to use the areas in and around the MB Miller Pier for a musical event called SandJam. R&M Entertainment proposes to lease the area in and around the MB Miller Pier beginning on Saturday, April 21 for set up and continuing to Thursday, Friday, Saturday (April 26-28) for the actual event and terminating on Monday April 30. R&M Entertainment has requested permission to actually close the pier itself and prohibit fishing and other recreational uses during the hours of the SandJam event April 26-28 for security reasons.
A representative from the TDC and representatives from R&M Entertainment will be present during this Board item to discuss the event and proposed lease terms.
