FINANCIAL IMPACT SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This change would increase the traditional amount from $15,000 to approximately $22,000.

BACKGROUND:

Mexico Beach Fire Department has protected the unincorporated area highlighted in the attached map (Exhibit 1) for decades at a cost of $15,000 per year. The attached agreement addendum (Exhibit 2) updates the existing agreement to allow Bay County to pay a sum every year determined by the Budget Office that is consistent with the actual Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU) amount collected from the area.
