| BACKGROUND:
The Florida Legislature appropriated $65,000,000 from the Local Government Housing Trust Fund to fund the Hurricane Housing Recovery Program for eligible counties and municipalities. The Florida Housing Finance Corporation has determined that Bay County is eligible for 56.4% of that appropriation, of which the BOCC will receive $28,228,200, and the City of Panama City will receive approximately $8,000,000. Funds are available for expenditure pursuant to the County Local Housing Assistance Plan. The Florida Housing Finance Corporation has prepared a funding agreement for Bay County's share of the funds.
