| BACKGROUND:
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners has been invited to participate in a joint meeting with the City of Panama City Beach Council and the TDC to discuss matters related to beach safety. Fla. Stat. 125.001 allows the County to participate in joint meetings with adjacent counties and cities to discuss matters of mutual interest, but requires that the County adopt a resolution authorizing the participation. This statute also prohibits the Board of County Commissioners from from taking any official action by vote at the joint meeting.
